playgroup

mommy, daddy and i went to playgroup at the water spouts on friday. as always it was super fun. these are some of my friends. and some pictures of me, of course.

birthday party

yesterday was my party. i had so much fun. there was friends and presents and cake. i started my day off busting my lip on my crib after nap time. no biggy, except for the fat lip. it was soon forgotten and i had the best time. i got some great new toys and had my first taste of cake. mommy and daddy were hoping i'd destroy my piece and i didn't disappoint, there are lots of these photos so beware. then i got to spend the night with grandma who discovered i'd cut one of my 1st year molars! mommy thinks i'm cutting one on the bottom too. such a busy weekend.

1 year old

today is my birthday. it's hard to believe i've been around for a whole year. let me tell you what i've accomplished in the last month. i took a few steps on my own yesterday. mommy and daddy were hopping i'd be walking a little by my birthday and i decided not to disappoint. they were so excited. i can blow kisses and am getting better at waving hello and goodbye. tomorrow is my birthday party. i'm sure mommy will have tons of photos to post so keep an eye out.

drinking from a straw

i figured out how to drink from a straw today. i have to say it's a lot easier than drinking from a sippy cup. it's a good thing too 'cause mommy bought special cups for my birthday party and they have straws in them. now i get to drink from mine too!!!!

here are pictures of mommy and me and daddy and me at about the same age. i look a lot more like daddy, even though until mommy made the photos she thought i looked exactly like she did at this age. i'm pretty cute regardless.

today we went to the park while we waited for grandma to get home from church. then we had a yummy lunch and spent the afternoon with the family. mommy got some photos of everyone for a picture book she's making for me. that way i can start learning who everyone is. oh! and i also got an early birthday present form grandmas neighbors marsha and frank. it was a xylophone-piano. i LOVE it.
