ut game gear

i've got my ut game gear on today. why you ask? well it's ut's first game of the season of course! my outfit is a hand-me-down from one of our wonderful friends. and since they all have boys, well you can guess. so mommy put my hair up in piggys and put my pink crocs on to make me as girly as possible. this is the first time i've worn two piggys in my hair. i've got to warn you...i'm pretty cute. after breakfast mommy and daddy took me to the park for some pictures and fun.

blogiversary

i can hardly believe that mommy and i made the decision to start this blog one year ago today. she has decided to have it printed as a book. looking back has been so fun and reminded her of how much sunnier her life has become since i arrived. thank you to everyone who've kept up with it. we hope that it has been a bright spot in your day too.

a beautiful summer morning

yesterday mommy and i met connor and ms kristen at the water spouts. we got there about 9:30 and were the only ones there! we had fun running and playing in the little pools. about half an hour later more kids started showing up. first was my new friend hayley. her mommy is my mommy's friends friend rachel. we didn't even plan for them to be there, they just showed up! after a while there were tons of other kids playing...all around my age. it was nice not to have to worry about big kids knocking me over since they all started school yesterday. by the time we left i was soo tired and grumpy. but all in all it was a delightful way to spend a beautiful summer morning.

15 months

i have to apologize for falling behind. i turned 15 months a week ago and have yet to tell you all of my progress. my check-up went great...except for the two shots i got that really hurt. dr jolet said i'm a keeper though...thank god. here are my stats: height is 29.5 inches, weight 21.2 pounds, both in the 10-25% and my head is 47.25 centimeters which is in the 75-90%!

my vocabulary is still small consisting mostly of dog, my favorite word. i've started running and twirling and walking on my toes. i laugh when everyone else does, even though i don't know whats going on. i think all foods are yucky except carbs and cheese. i'll drink a fruit smoothie only because i don't know it's real fruit and don't even try to feed me veggies. mommy tried hiding some peas in my scrambled eggs the other day. i mean really who does she take me for? i guess that's it for now. bye-bye...another of my favorites.





we celebrated my cousins katie and kylies 6th birthday today. happy birthday!!!!!!

big girl jammys

i wore my first pair of big girl jammy jams last night. i love the way the floppy pants feel on my legs. plus i look like a little girl and not a baby, it's pretty great.

utenciles

i think forks are great. how amazing are they? i'd like to say it's a more civilized way of eating but unfortunately i still get quite messy. and really mines not technically a fork so much as a spork. i guess you can say i'm a multitasker eating with both a fork and a spoon. yeah, i like that.

coloring

i tried out coloring today. i've "played" with crayons before in that i've chewed them. this was the first time i understood what they did. it was pretty exciting. mommy showed me how scribble on my place mate. she's always thought i'd be an engineer but maybe there's hope for me to be an artist. who knows?

scout

scout came to live with me today. she's my newest friend. grammy was concerned that mallory was a "wild animal", we did find her in a cotton field after all. i tried to explain to her she's not wild she escaped from the circus, but grammy insisted we go through the proper channels and adopt a tame animal. so she, mommy and i took a trip to build a bear today. i have to admit, feelings of desertion to my sweet mallory aside, i had a super fun time. it was a hard decision to make. do i choose a bunny or a puppy? i ended up with the puppy because she was the most snuggly. we had to fill her with stuffing, give her a heart, wash and brush her and finally make sure her birth certificate was in order. it seemed like there was a lot of paper work involved...not sure what that means but i hear mommy and daddy say it sometimes and it seemed to work here. anywho, we got her some jammy's 'cause i didn't think it was very nice to make her sleep naked and brought her home were we took our first nap together. we were both warn out.



















we're both belly sleepers, so that's good.

i got my first haircut this evening. i was beginning to look like i should be wearing a members only jacket, so mommy got the scissors trimmed the back. now i look a little like a boy. hmm, i guess i'll be wearing a little pony tail on my head for a while. mommy thinks i look super cute and can't see how anyone would think i was a boy.
