fredericksburg

mommy, daddy and i went to fredericksburg today to meet grandmas friends the bogarts. they're from pennsylvania. grandma, aunt karen and dax were there, of course. we ate at a really yummy german restaurant...well the adults did. it was a fun day. mommy was sad to realize we didn't get any pictures of mr and mrs bogart. but we got some cute ones of me and dax and my silly daddy.

100% better

after being so sick last week i was really excited to do some fun things with mommy and daddy. monday mommy and i met play group at the park. i got to swing and play in the rocks. mommy spent most of the time fishing pebbles out of my mouth, but i had fun. that night mommy showed me how to crawl through a box. it's fun, but really how many times can you crawl through a box? i get bored pretty quickly with it. this has been a fun week catching up on my play time. it's so good to be better.

spring is here

today is the first day of spring. i'm still sick. mommy took me to the park today to see if the fresh air would help me to feel better. aunt jenny met us there since she had the day off. i'm sorry to say i was so tired by the time we got there that all i could do was fuss and cry. she and mommy were able to eat some lunch and chit chat a little so it wasn't a total bust. i went back to the doctor yesterday because my fever hadn't gone away and i'd somehow developed a case of thrush. they gave me meds for the thrush and said if i still have a fever friday to come back in for some blood work. no fun. i really hope i feel better tomorrow.

10 months old

i turned 10 months old on sunday. sorry i wasn't able to post this then but i've been a sick baby. i woke up with a fever that morning of around 101 and have felt pretty lousy since then. on monday i got worst and trew up on mommy twice. it was no fun and made me cry. mommy was very calm though and got me cleaned up super quick. we went to see the doctor and was told i have a viral infection and should be better in about 72 hours, if not come back. it's the morning of the third day and i still have a fever, no throwing up though, thank goodness. mommy's going to try to make another appointment for today.

now, back to being 10 months old. here's what i've learned in the last month. i discovered i have hair on my head.....or fuzz at the moment. it got stuck to my sticky hand one night while eating dinner. i have to say i was a little confused, what was this pulling sensation on my head? i have also said mama a couple times. i slipped it in the first time while mommy and daddy were feeding me breakfast, they almost missed it. it was a big deal. i'm learning it's fun to hand toys to mommy and daddy. you've never seen more greatful people in your life. you would think i was giving them money instead of a slobbery toy. and finally my greatest achievement this month is walking behind the walker toy mommy and daddy got for me. i'm becoming quite proficient. i know what your thinking, proficient? that's an awfully big word for a baby. well, i'm a pretty smart baby. oh! and i have another tooth. this one is on the top and to the right of my two front teeth.

lunch at the domain

mommy and i had lunch at the domain today with grammy. the weather was just beautiful. i played on the ground and with the giant armadillo. i can't wait till it gets hot outside and i can play in the water fountain.
