hi, today i turn 14 months old. in the last month i've discovered how happy snuggling makes mommy and daddy. i lay my head on their shoulder and squeeze with my arms. it's the best. i've also learned where my head and belly are and we're working on my knees and toes. mommy and i made a new friend the other day. she was finally able to convince mommy that it'd be a neat idea to teach me sign language. we started yesterday. mommy's excited to see what my first sign will be. we're learning all the names of the animals i have as well as other objects. i'll let you know what the first on is.
we went to west texas the weekend before the 4th of july to see poppys family. we ate lots of food and had lots of laughs and some tears but all the while i was my super cute self.
mommy caught me doing my favorite thing when in my bedroom. i love to pull all my books out of the book box. then i open and close open and close open and close them, moving from one book to the next. i could do this for hours. i know i have other friends who enjoy this past time as well. maybe we should start a book club.
we just spent the morning/afternoon at aunt karen and uncle duanes house having a yummy lunch and playing with dax's toys. i over heard uncle duane talking about the lamb that dax sleeps with and thought i have a monkey that is pretty snuggly and maybe i'll give it a try. i should give you a little back ground on my monkey. her name is mallory. we found her last weekend when we went to west texas to visit poppy's family. she was playing in the cotton field. perhaps she was part of the circus and ran away, we just don't know. all i know is she found me and i love her.
oh! i don't want to forget. i said my first word today clear as day. daddy not dada but daddy. music to mommy and daddy's ears.
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment.
the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment.
